When is the deadline for license renewal in New Mexico?

As of May 17, 2022, renewal applications that are received will be considered valid for 1 year. The renewal link will activate in your portal 60 days prior to expiration. Renewal reminders are autogenerated by the NM BON 60 days and 30 days prior to expiration. These notifications are sent to the email address on file. CE Requirements for Nursing Licenses

Every two years, the New Mexico Nursing Board requires nurses to complete the following continuing education contact hours to comply with licensing requirements:

30 contact hours for RN license renewal
30 contact hours for LPN license renewal

Certified nurse practitioners and clinical nurse specialists must complete a total of 50 hours of approved CE each renewal.
