CE Requirements for Nursing Licenses

Every two years, the Ohio Nursing Board requires nurses to complete the following continuing education contact hours to comply with licensing requirements:

24 contact hours for RN license renewal
24 contact hours for LPN license renewal
36 contact hours for APRN license renewal

A CNS who is not certified by a national nursing certifying organization shall obtain twelve additional contact hours in the nurse’s area of practice or in relevant programs from other healthcare disciplines.
