Nursing CEU Requirements
The New Jersey Board of Nursing requires each licensee (Advanced Practice Nurses, Registered Nurses, including Forensic Nurses-CSA, and Licensed Practical Nurses) to complete 30 hours of CE credits during the two-year period preceding renewal.
Registered Nurses (RN), whose nursing education did not contain this content, and who have never participated in a continuing education offering on this subject are required to take a 1 contact hour continuing education offering on organ and tissue donation and recovery:
RN license renewals are May 31 of odd and even numbered years based on the date of issuance.
